Risk Assessment

Before filming, I must complete a risk assessment to ensure that health and safety regulations are met on set:

Hazard
Persons /place who may be harmed
Risk controls already in place
Risk Assessment LOW, MODERATE, HIGH, EXTREME
Further action required to control risk
Loose cables around the set
Cast and crew
n/a
Moderate
I will tape the cables to the floor and ensure my actor knows their whereabouts.
Cold temperatures
in the garage
because there is no heating and the forecast is 3°C
Cast and crew
n/a
Moderate
If it gets too cold the cast and crew can take a break inside the (heated) house. In between shots the actor can also be provided with a jacket.
Sharp edges on set (as the set will be
precariously constructed
using loose furniture and
materials.
Cast, crew and equipment.
Before filming we will ensure the set is fixed.
High
In between shots I will frequently check that the set is fixed and nothing is riskily balanced.
I have also found appropriate contact details, in case of an emergency:

Fire Brigade
999
Ambulance
999
Police
999
Thames Valley Police
101
Chemist
01753 883484
Out of hours chemist
01689 898580
As we are filming in the house that we live in and our parents will be in the house, no other contacts for actors or crew will be necessary.
